Unique Setting Placement Process

All students at Emily Follensbee School are referred to us directly through a unique setting placement process by the CBE Inclusive Learning team. As a result, we do not take direct registrations as all students must be assessed for suitability to our program. EFS specializes in providing educational programming for students attending Kindergarten to Grade 9, who are considered medically fragile with multiple and severe complex needs, including those with:

  • Cognitive disabilities
  • Physical disabilities
  • Sensory impairments
  • Medical/health needs
  • Augmentative/alternate communication needs

Important Note | All students being considered for specialized programming or program placement must be registered with the Calgary Board of Education prior to assessment. There is no waiting list for eligible students and student placements are received throughout the school year.
