There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. Colibri Canada | September 2-15

We are excited to announce that our EFS Children’s Society is hosting a Colibri Canada fundraiser from September 2 to 15. Colibri is a Canadian company that offers high quality, eco-friendly reusable products such as wet bags, snack and bread bags, washcloths and more! The Colibri ”wet bags” are a great option for students’ wet bathing suits, bibs and other soiled items that need to be sent home. We have sent home flyers and paper order forms with students earlier this week. You may also conveniently order and pay online.

This is a great opportunity to help raise funds that will directly benefit our student community through the purchase of specialized equipment, learning resources, community fieldtrips, in-school activities and staff appreciation events.

How to Order!

  • Ensure to select "Emily Follensbee School" as the fundraising school
  • Ensure to enter your child's first and last name (so that we know who to give the order to when it arrives)
  • Follow the prompts for secure online payment

Paper Order Form 

  • Collect orders from friends and family using your paper order form (see Order Form at end of newsletter) 
  • Include all payments (cash - exact amount only OR cheque - made payable to Emily Follensbee Children’s Society) in a sealed, marked envelope along with all order forms
  • Ensure all order forms and payments are returned to school by Monday, September 15

All orders will be shipped directly to the school and sent home with students.

Mabel’s Labels | Ongoing

We have an ongoing fundraiser with Mabel’s Labels where families can customize and order labels for their child(ren)’s items, plus free shipping! These labels are durable and washable, and can also be customized for allergies, medical and safety alerts. Emily Follensbee School receives 20% of all campaign sales.

Scholastics Reading Club Program | Ongoing

Our school participates in the online Scholastics Book Club Program which allows families to order books online and have them shipped directly to their home (free shipping on orders of $35 or more). On every order, EFS earns 20% Scholastic Rewards which our school uses to purchase new books to help build our library resources and support literacy in our classrooms. You may place your order and submit payment online by:

Ways to give to our school include:

Monetary (cash) Donation
  • I wish to receive a tax receipt for my donation. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20 or more.
    • Visit the EducationMatters online donation webpage to make a donation. (Preferred donation method)
    • Write a cheque payable to EducationMatters  (all one word) and include the name of our school and the specific program, activity or item you want your donation to support in the 'memo' section. Give the cheque to the school or mail it to: EducationMatters, 1221 8 Street SW Calgary, AB T2R 0L4
  • I do not wish to receive a tax receipt for my donation
    • ​Write a cheque made payable to Calgary Board of Education  and include the name of our school and the specific program, activity or item you want your donation to support in the 'memo' section. Give the cheque to the school.
