2025 EFS Casino Fundraiser | Volunteers Needed!
We are excited to announce that our next Casino Fundraiser has been confirmed for September 12 & 13 at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino! Because our casino is scheduled so early in the school year, we need to start asking volunteers to sign up immediately to ensure we are able to keep our scheduled event. The casino fundraiser is our biggest and most important fundraising event as it generates a substantial amount of funds for the Emily Follensbee School community. Funds raised by our casino represent the ability to create and support much-needed opportunities for our student community including community fieldtrips, in-school events, specialized equipment and learning resources.
CASINO INFORMATION
- Dates | Friday, September 12 & Saturday, September 13
- Location | Deerfoot Inn & Casino
- Training and support will be provided to volunteers by our Casino Advisor
- Meals and refreshments are provided to volunteers
- Free parking on-site, dress is casual and smoke-free environment
- Volunteering at the casino is fun and easy - and is for a great cause!

One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. About Our Parent Society
Our Parent Society is known as the Emily Follensbee School (EFS) Children's Society.
We are very fortunate to have an active support base in our school and we want to encourage Parents/Guardians to attend monthly meetings. Because we are a smaller school community, having your participation is extremely important as it helps make the school year a successful one!
We have an open invitation for Parents/Guardians to attend our EFS Children's Society meetings! Society meetings are conveniently held online/virtually on the third Thursday of every month and will start at 6:45 PM unless otherwise posted.

We are always interested in welcoming new members to EFS Children's Society to help build our school community! There is always an open invitation to Parents/Guardians to attend our monthly meetings so that you have an opportunity to lend your voice and ideas.
