As part of our indigenous learning and support in the reconciliation process, we encourage students and staff to wear orange on Wednesday, September 25 to promote the concept of “Every Child Matters”. In 2015, the Orange Shirt Society created an annual Orange Shirt Day to commemorate the residential school experience to witness and honour the healing journey of the survivors and their families, and to promote the truth that every child matters.
